Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping

What is your shipping process?

We partner with UPS Ground to ship all scooters directly from our warehouse. Orders placed by 3 PM on business days are typically shipped the next business day. For example, if you place an order on Monday, it will ship on Tuesday. Orders placed on Friday will be shipped on Monday.

All shipments include signature confirmation for added security. If you prefer not to require a signature upon delivery, please leave a note in the "Instructions for Seller" section during checkout. Please note that choosing the no-signature option means DRIDER is not responsible for stolen packages. The buyer will assume full responsibility for any lost or stolen goods.

What is the estimated delivery time for scooters?

Delivery times vary depending on your location. For example, shipments to California generally take about 3 business days, while deliveries to the Northeast may take 5 to 7 business days. Please refer to our Zone Map for more accurate shipping estimates based on your location.

What is Route Shipping Insurance?

To provide additional protection, we offer Route Shipping Insurance, an external service that covers theft, loss, and damage during transit. If you opt for this service, you will receive a separate email with tracking details and a link to file a claim. While all orders come with signature confirmation (which protects against theft), Route Shipping Insurance offers extra peace of mind.

How long does delivery take for in-stock items, and what are the charges?

Ground shipping within the Continental U.S. typically takes 5 to 7 business days. Shipping charges are calculated during checkout based on your location and the selected shipping method.

How do I cancel an order once it has shipped?

If you wish to cancel an order after it has been shipped, please contact us immediately. You may refuse the package upon delivery, and once it is returned to us, we will process a refund within 3 to 6 business days. Refunds are subject to our return conditions, which are outlined in our Return and Refund Policy.

Scooter Questions

Are electric scooters allowed in my city or state?

Since electric scooters are a relatively new mode of transportation, the rules and regulations vary greatly depending on the location. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are complying with local laws and regulations. However, as electric scooters continue to grow in popularity, more and more cities and states are introducing legislation that permits their use. We recommend checking with your local authorities for specific rules.

How long will it take to learn to ride my scooter?

Everyone learns at their own pace, but from our experience, riding an electric scooter is intuitive. Most riders get the hang of it quickly. We do recommend that you start slowly and always wear protective gear (helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards) to ensure a safe experience.

What is the maximum range and speed of my electric scooter?

The range and top speed of your scooter depend on several factors, including the scooter model, rider weight, road conditions, and the riding speed. For our scooters, we provide realistic estimates based on a 170 lb rider, riding at an average speed on flat terrain. Please refer to the product specifications for more accurate details.

Are the scooters safe to ride?

Our scooters are designed with safety in mind. The quality of the components, especially the battery, plays a key role in ensuring safe operation. We work with reputable suppliers and use high-quality batteries from trusted manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, and other certified sources that undergo rigorous testing.

Please note that safety is a shared responsibility. We highly recommend reading the manual that comes with your scooter to understand its specific features and limitations. Always wear protective gear, including elbow and knee pads, helmet, and wrist guards when riding.

Can I ride my electric scooter in the rain?

While our scooters are water-resistant, we do not recommend riding them in wet conditions or during rain. Wet roads can increase braking distance, making it more difficult to stop safely. If you happen to get caught in the rain, the scooter will still function safely, but we advise you to wipe it down and ensure it is fully dry before using it again.

NOTE: Water and electrical components do not mix well. We recommend avoiding water exposure when possible and storing the scooter in a dry place.

Return and Exchange Policy

Can I return the electric scooter?

Yes, you can return the electric scooter within 14 days of purchase. However, the scooter must be unused and in its original packaging. If the scooter has been used, we generally do not accept returns.

In some exceptional cases, we may accept a return with a 20% restocking fee, provided that the scooter is in excellent condition, even if used. In such cases, we will refund the original payment method once the scooter is returned to us.

How do I start a return?

To initiate a return, please email us at info@driderescooters.com to receive a return authorization. Please do not send the product back without receiving authorization first. Once we confirm your return, we will guide you through the process.

What happens if the scooter isn’t functioning properly?

If your scooter arrives dead or does not work as expected upon delivery (this can occasionally happen with electric vehicles), we offer a free exchange. We will cover the return shipping costs and send you a replacement.

If the scooter experiences any issues after use, please refer to our warranty section for further details on how to proceed with repairs or exchanges under the warranty terms.

Warranty

What is the Warranty Policy of the Company?

We stand behind the quality of our scooters and offer a limited warranty for 180 days (6 months) from the date of delivery. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects but does not include wear and tear from normal usage. The warranty also covers the battery. However, if the product is used for purposes other than its intended use, the warranty will be void.

How Should I Go About the Warranty Claim?

To initiate a warranty claim, please email us at info@driderescooters.com and provide a detailed description of the issue. Include a video or clear picture of the problem for us to assess. In most cases, we will identify the issue and send you the necessary spare parts free of charge. We will also provide you with instructions on how to perform simple repairs, or refer you to one of our authorized service partners for more complex repairs.

During the warranty period, we will cover the cost of parts and labor. If the scooter needs to be returned to our repair center, you will be responsible for covering the shipping costs to send the scooter back to us.

Repairs

How do I Repair my scooter at home?

For common repairs and regular maintenance, you can use basic tools to fix your scooter at home. We recommend checking out our support library, where you’ll find guides for common issues. For more complex problems, it's best to consult with one of our service partners, who we can help you connect with. Alternatively, you can also choose to send your scooter back to us for professional repairs.

What do I do if the scooter needs repair after 180 days of warranty?

We aim to keep our customers happy, even after the warranty period. If you encounter an issue after the 180-day warranty, please email us with photos or videos of the problem. We will assess the situation and recommend the best course of action to resolve it. Our service center keeps most scooter parts in stock, so we can assist with repairs for a small charge.

Do you have batteries and other spare parts in stock?

Yes, we maintain a wide inventory of spare parts and batteries for all the scooters we sell. Many of the most common parts are available on our website. If you can't find the part you're looking for, simply reach out to our support team, and we will source it for you.

Spare parts and batteries are generally available for customers who have purchased their scooter directly from us.

What is the quality of the batteries you offer?

We recognize the importance of a high-quality battery in ensuring the performance and longevity of your scooter. We provide lithium-ion batteries from reputable brands like Samsung and LG. We also use high-quality batteries from selected Chinese manufacturers, which have years of proven reliability and undergo strict testing.

Our batteries typically offer a lifespan of 400 to 700 charging cycles. However, as with all lithium-ion batteries, expect a gradual decrease in capacity and range over time due to their chemical composition.

Pre-Order Details

Why do you offer pre-orders?

We offer pre-orders to streamline the purchasing process and minimize your wait time. Typically, ordering directly from the manufacturer could take 4 to 5 weeks for your scooter to arrive. By offering pre-orders, we ensure that you receive your electric scooter within the expected delivery time, and you won’t miss out on stock availability.

When should I expect to receive my pre-order?

We aim to deliver your pre-order on or before the stated delivery date. However, there may occasionally be minor delays due to incoming deliveries and high demand. If the product description updates with a new date, it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a delay. It usually reflects adjustments made to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. For more specific updates, feel free to reach out to us via email.

What happens if my address changes during the delivery period?

If your shipping address changes after placing a pre-order, please email us with both your old and new address, along with the last four digits of the credit card used for payment. We will update the shipping details to ensure your scooter reaches you at the correct address.

Can I cancel my pre-order?

Yes, life can be unpredictable, and we understand! If you need to cancel your pre-order, you can do so free of charge. Simply send us an email, and we’ll process your cancellation.
